Needs-Based Student Housing Subsidy Pilot Program

The City of College Park’s Needs-Based Student Housing Subsidy Pilot Program is now accepting applications! Approved by Council in April, this new pilot program provides a one-time grant of $1,250 in housing assistance to 60 eligible undergraduate and 60 eligible graduate students. Applications are due by September 15, 2024. Details and the application are available at collegeparkmd.gov/studenthousingsubsidy.

Labor Day Holiday Closure

All City of College Park offices will be closed on Monday, September 2, 2024 in observance of the Labor Day holiday. Refuse and recycling will occur one day later than normal during this holiday week: 
Monday collections will occur Tuesday, September 3
Tuesday collections (including food scrap) will occur Wednesday, September 4
Wednesday collections will occur Thursday, September 5
Special collections for brush and bulky items will only be scheduled for Friday, September 6, of this holiday week. You must call 240-487-3590 or email publicworks@collegeparkmd.gov to schedule a pickup before setting your items out to the curb.
